TSR-Tank Series Resonant Systems

The Hipotronics tank-type series resonant test systems are specifically designed for power factor correction caps as well as use in other applications. These systems provide undistorted high voltage at power frequency for testing high kVAR capacitive loads. Allowing for lower input kVA power, these units reduce customer cost compared to conventional test transformers. These units include a power regulator, exciter transformer, high voltage variable reactor, voltage divider, base load, and a full complement of power/control interconnect cables.

Power Factor Testing

The Dielectric-Loss Analyzing System 2840 is a power factor tester designed for measurement of very low dielectric losses and impedances (Dissipation Factor and Power Factor) of high-voltage apparatus. This equipment is designed to complement the tank-type series resonant systems. The instrument works on the principle of a combined bridge-vector-meter and is capable of analyzing capacitive and inductive loads with outstanding accuracy and stability certified by a leading metrology institute.

Partial Discharge Detection

The DDX9121b partial discharge (PD) detector is the latest unit in the DDX family of PD detection equipment. The DDX9121b is modular and fits a wide range of PD detection applications such as single measuring input to 9 measuring inputs simultaneously. Traditional partial discharges according to IEC60270, Radio Interference Voltage (RIV) measurement, or PD under DC are covered. Pass/Fail testing is also possible with the DDX9121b to simplify and reduce test time.

DC Power Supplies

Hipotronics offers a wide range of high voltage testing equipment for OEM use including DC power supplies [products->high-voltage-test-equipment->oem->dc-power-supplies] that are available from 1kW to 50kW and 1kV to 300kV. These units are either air or oil insulated and come furnished with a shielded coaxial output cable.

Rated current is available from zero to maximum voltage and all power supplies feature solid-state rectifiers, meter calibration, potentiometers, surge/transient protection of meters, relays and voltage regulators. Controls include a meter polarity-reversing switch and rotary output voltage control in addition to input power and overload circuits.
